Motown Burger Battle | May 20th

Set amidst the Carriage House Pavilion at the magical Pine Knob on Sunday, May 20th, some of Detroit’s legendary chefs will demonstrate their culinary prowess with an American classic: the almighty burger. We’re talking about the kings of the sacred grill, the seeds to our sesame bun, the crème de la crème, the pioneers of comfort food including burger mavens:

Motown Burger Battle & Golf Outing for Justin's Vision

The charming and energetic First Lady of Boxing, Jackie Kallen will emcee the event.

Be prepared to engage all of your senses: not only will you get the chance to enjoy the most flavorful burgers from Detroit’s elite, the vocal melodies of the arising Infinity Hour and the DJ stylings of Brad Kallen will penetrate your core. As rich as visiting an art gallery and as stimulating as a good massage, the event is sure to dazzle.

If you’re a purveyor of the beloved burger, don’t leave your appetite behind. There’s plenty of food to seduce your tastebuds including Just Baked cupcakes, original ice cream from Treat Dreams, wine tasting from B. Nektar, baked goodies from Ethels Edibles and an all-star line up of savory sides from the culinary kings of Pine Knob.

An electrifying drumlin performance by members of the Ferndale High School and Detroit Lion’s Drumlines will kick off the event. The festivities begin at noon.

And the most special part of the entire event, is the reason it exists: a chance to raise awareness and donations for Justin’s Vision.

Justin’s Vision is dedicated to letting kids be kids, a fledgling non-profit helping children with life-threatening illesses enjoy a happy, carefree vacation experience, along with their families, that they’ll cherish for all time.

Through our partnership with Give Kids the World, Justin’s Vision provides magical moments in a fun, safe environment with other kids and families that are facing similar challenges.
