Pitching in for a Great Cause!

Garden Fresh Gourmet is proud to be participating in the Salvation Army’s 3rd annual Shield on the Field Celebrity Classic softball game on May 17, 2014.
This free event will feature a giant bounce house and face painting for the kids, as well as chips and salsa courtesy of Garden Fresh.

Among local celebrities, business, and civic leaders joining the line-up for the game are: Mark Hackel, (Macomb County Executive), Eric Smith, (Macomb County Prosecutor), Jack Aronson, (President of Garden Fresh Gourmet), John Latella, (COO of Garden Fresh Gourmet), Alexandrea Thrubis (Metro Detroit Advisory Board Member & Manager of Community Affairs, Detroit Tigers), Blaine Fowler & Allyson Martinek (Blaine & Allyson Show on 96.3 WDVD).

Garden Fresh Gourmet’s Jack Aronson is no stranger to going to bat for a great cause. When asked about his participation in this event, he replied, “we are in the food business at Garden Fresh, our products feed people around the world. I grew up here in metro Detroit and am committed to this community, so we do what we can to support great organizations like the Salvation Army’s Bed & Bread Club and Forgotten Harvest, that are helping those who are struggling in our own neighborhoods.”
