Since its launch in 1988, the Radiothon has raised more than $25 million to provide food and shelter to those who otherwise would go without. Millions of individuals in metro Detroit have received aid because of this important fundraiser.

More than 5,000 meals are served each day to children, adults and seniors in metro Detroit’s most depressed areas through the Bed & Bread Program. In addition, 500 men, women and children are provided shelter every night.

To kick-off the 25th anniversary celebration, and raise awareness of the Bed & Bread program, The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit and WJR will host the inaugural Shield on the Field Celebrity Classic softball game.

See you at the game!
